Introducing…Open the Bible with Colin Smith

Open the Bible is a dynamic ministry featuring the teaching of Pastor Colin Smith. Since 2000, Open the Bible has offered compelling expository teaching and creative resources to challenge believers to grow in their walk with Christ.

The ministry distributes “Open the Bible”, which is a daily and weekly 25 minute Bible teaching program heard on hundreds of radio stations and through digital platforms across the United States and around the world. A 60 second daily feature, “Open the Bible Minute” rounds out its audio broadcast offerings.

Beyond radio Open the Bible features a host of resources at its website, www.openthebible.org, including books, booklets, video study series, and leadership training courses.

High profile efforts offered by the ministry include the suite of tools around Heaven, How I Got Here. This multi-faceted group of resources began with a book, but quickly expanded to include a radio drama, a one-man stage play, and more recently a film seen online and on broadcast television.  The story is built around the biblical account of the conversaion of the thief on the cross. Finally, Colin Smith’s life message has been the idea that the Bible is all about God’s plan to redeem mankind from sin. Its story begins in a garden and ends in a city and all the way through tells us about Jesus Christ. In light of this the ministry features a life-changing study tool called Hike Through the Bible.  It is a 50 session series of scripture readings, audio teaching, and study questions, in 50 lessons. It is extremely valuable as a personal or group study resource.
